Although promotion counters can be of different models, they always follow a defined layout. Version 1 below shows a type with flush top-plate, version 2 the layout for counters with a top-plate that protrudes beyond the body.

Version 1 – Counters with flush top-plate
- The printable area of the counter is divided into a grid of nine lines (y). The front of the counter – as far as can be defined – is divided into 15 columns (x). The background is HR blue. A white strip below the top edge occupies 1/9 (1y) of the format height.
- The logo is vertically centred within the white strip and 1/15 (x) from the left edge.
- The claim is centred between the second and third lines (y) and is 1/15 (x) from the right edge.
